is rednecks parking on grass. For some reason, even in 2010 people use grassy areas as parking spaces. The moisture that comes up from the grass/ground gets trapped under body panels. Worst of all is when they're "down" for a few months and people park them there, even more atrociously, tarped. It all comes down to if driving in the winter, are you washing from top and bottom regularly. Salty air? It depends on the area. Here in San Francisco I see plenty of cars without rust. At the same time if I go down to a town on the beach I can see HOUSES weathering/rusting badly. Hell, at the SF Zoo there's a solid stainless steel parking machine that rusted up so bad its door fell off. Comes down to placement and care. ;-) ps, I'm a Pennsylvania native.
